Ajna Activation Meditation

Description:
The Ajna Activation Meditation is a meditation that uses the bija mantra Aum together with Shambhavi Mudra to awaken and balance the energy of the third eye center. The hands rest gently on the knees, allowing the body to remain relaxed, stable, and receptive while awareness is directed inward toward the space between the eyebrows. In Shambhavi Mudra, the eyes are gently turned upward toward the third eye center behind closed or half closed eyelids, creating deep internal focus and meditative concentration. The vibration of the mantra creates a subtle resonance through the head, face, and nervous system, helping quiet mental fluctuations and deepen intuition, clarity, and inner awareness. The steady upright posture and inward gaze support meditative stillness, energetic focus, and expanded consciousness.
Chakras:
The repetition of the mantra strongly stimulates the Third Eye Chakra (Ajna), supporting intuition, mental clarity, inner vision, and focused awareness.
To practice:
Sit i n a cross legged position with the spine upright and the shoulders relaxed. Rest the hands gently on the knees. Bring the gaze upward toward the space between the eyebrows, creating Shambhavi Mudra without straining the eyes. Begin chanting the mantra Aum slowly and steadily, allowing the vibration to resonate through the head. Keep the breath smooth, relaxed, and natural while maintaining gentle concentration at the third eye center throughout the meditation.
