Tolasana Drop

Tolasana Drop is a powerful Kundalini Yoga exercise that creates a strong release of energy through the lower body and spine. From Lotus Pose, you push yourself up with your arms, shoulders, and core, then let yourself drop back down onto the floor. The movement strengthens the arms, wrists, shoulders, and abdominal muscles while building stability and inner power.
Energetically, the rhythmic dropping motion helps shake loose stuck emotions, tension, and heavy energy from the body. It especially stimulates the Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana) through the movement in the pelvic area, helping emotional and creative energy flow more freely. The lift activates the Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura), building confidence, strength, and determination, while the dropping motion grounds energy into the Root Chakra (Muladhara).
To practice:
sit in Lotus Pose, place the palms beside the hips, inhale while lifting the whole body up, and let yourself drop back down on the exhale
If Lotus Pose is not accessible, practice in a simple cross legged position and only lift the hips slightly before dropping down again.
