Vishudda Activation Meditation

Description:

Vishudda Activation Meditation is a seated Kundalini Yoga meditation that uses the bija mantra Ham together with Ushas Mudra to awaken and balance the energy of the throat center. The hands are held in Ushas Mudra near the lower abdomen while awareness and vibration are directed upward through the throat and neck. The repetition of the mantra creates a subtle resonance through the vocal channel helping release energetic stagnation and encouraging clearer communication inner truth and self expression. The lowered gaze and inward concentration deepen meditative awareness while calming the mind and nervous system.

Chakras:

The vibration of the mantra strongly stimulates the Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) supporting expression, clarity, purification and energetic flow through the neck jaw and vocal channel.

To practice:

Sit comfortably in a cross legged position with the spine upright and the shoulders relaxed. Form Ushas Mudra by interlocking the fingers and the thumbs touching each other, then place the hands near the abdomen. Slightly lower the chin and soften the gaze or close the eyes. Begin chanting the mantra Ham slowly and steadily allowing the vibration to resonate through the throat and upper chest. Keep the breath smooth and relaxed while maintaining gentle awareness at the throat center throughout the meditation.
